Status: GameTora.com loading issues on iOS
The website is having issues loading for many users on Apple products (iOS and macOS).
All other systems should be working normally.
I'm really sorry for the incovenience. Unfortunately, the issue is not on GameTora's side, and believe me there's nobody else more frustrated by this than me.
The website should work on iOS at the moment. If it's still not loading for you, try deleting your cache. You can also try if private mode helps.
Watch the first minute of this video to see how to delete your cache (thanks to @TallGirlVanessa on Discord!)
Feel free to let me know on Discord if there are still any issues!
Issue timeline
For complete transparency, here is the history of the issue.
2025-07-26: Initial issues
Many iOS users reported that the GameTora website wouldn't load properly. Sometimes the website would barely load, sometimes it would load but interactive elements like buttons wouldn't work. Sometimes only on some pages, seemingly at random.
Investigation began immediately.
2025-07-27: Problem identified
I managed to pinpoint to problem. The website provider (Cloudflare) would sometimes randomly compress the website files using the zstd standard, which iOS doesn't support. This would occur even if zstd compression was turned off in Cloudflare settings.
The corrupted files would then get cached, and the website wouldn't load properly from there on out.
The issue only seemed to occur on some custom hostnames (like gametora.com, unfortunately). After almost a full day and night of trying everything, I managed to come up with a solution that seemed to work, and for several days, iOS users weren't reporting any problems.
2025-07-31: Cloudflare admits the issue
After almost a week, Cloudflare finally admitted it's an issue on their side, after previously denying it on Community forums. Even though GameTora is NOT on a Free plan, and the compression rules did NOT help, otherwise this is exactly the issue the website was having.
Cloudflare started resolving the problem on their side.
2025-08-01: Cloudflare having issues again
Cloudflare stated that they have resolved the incident. Unfortunately, according to the reports of GameTora users, the opposite was true.
Even though there were no issues for several days, the alleged Cloudflare's "fix" actually brought them back instead.
Right now, there's unfortunately no other option that waiting for Cloudflare to fix the problem (or waiting for Apple to start respecting web standards, but I wouldn't be too optimistic about that one).
2025-08-05: Cloudflare investigates the issue again
After several days of radio silence, Cloudflare has stated that they're looking into the issue again.
2025-08-05: Issue fixed
The issue was (hopefully) resolved. Please try deleting your cache if you're still having problems!
