Basic Information
Unraveling Our Shared History: The Shuntaisai Festival (or just Shuntaisai) is the fifteenth permanent training scenario introduced to the game. It was released on October 26, 2026.
The scenario focuses on the Shuntaisai Festival (also known as the Fleetfoot Festival on Global). The festival takes place annually, but this scenario features its special Year-of-the-Horse edition, celebrated once every twelve years.
As with other scenarios, it builds on the game's core mechanics, so this article assumes you have a basic understanding of how to play. If you do not, or you'd like a refresher, please read the Beginner's Guide before proceeding.
Scenario Mechanics
The goal of the Shuntaisai scenario is to make the Shuntaisai Festival (午式駿大祭) a great success. To do that, you'll be practicing five Performances throughout the Career.
The festival is held in late October of the Senior year.
Note that many Performance Practice bonuses apply only if your deck has support cards of at least 5 different types (e.g. Speed, Stamina, Power, Guts, and Friend).
Performances
Performances (演目) are the five events performed at the Progress Presentations and the Shuntaisai Festival (see below). Each one is tied to a training type and has its own level, and you'll be raising those levels throughout the Career.
Each Performance has its own Performers (演目担当). They are the support cards in your deck whose type matches the Performance's training (e.g. Speed cards for Yabusame), plus a scenario-linked character from the table below.
| Performance | Scenario-linked Performer | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| Yabusame (流鏑馬) | Daiwa Scarlet | ||
| Sacred Flag Contest (神旗争奪戦) | No Reason | ||
| Offering Dance (納舞) | Mayano Top Gun | ||
| Great Mikoshi Haul (大曳神輿) | Yukino Bijin | ||
| Hurdle Run (飛駆) | Blast Onepiece |
Scenario-linked characters always take the roles shown above, regardless of their support card type.
Each Performance also has its own Performance Gauge (演目ゲージ), which can be filled up to 5.
Performers show up in trainings as usual, and every Performer fills their own Performance's gauge by 1 (or 2 if they're doing a rainbow training). For example, a Speed card joining Wisdom training still fills Yabusame's (Speed) gauge.
Races, rests, and outings also fill the gauges a little, with objective races filling them more.
Once a gauge is full, you can do a Performance Practice (演目稽古). It's a stronger version of the matching training (e.g. Yabusame for Speed).
Practice takes a turn like any other training, but gives bigger stat gains and costs a bit more energy (except for Hurdle Run, which still restores energy). All of the Performance's Performers join it. The base values for each Performance Practice are listed under Base Training Values.
After a Practice, the gauge resets, and the Performance's level goes up by 1.
Shuntaisai Training Camp
The summer camps are replaced by the Shuntaisai Training Camp (駿大祭合宿), which additionally also takes place in the Junior year.
During the camp, all trainings are replaced by Performance Practices, but these won't raise the Performance Levels. Instead, all Performance Levels go up by 1 after the camp ends.
If your trainee has an objective race during the camp, the camp is extended to make up for the lost turn.
During the URA Finals, all trainings are also Performance Practices, but they raise Performance Levels as usual.
Progress Presentations and the Shuntaisai Festival
The Progress Presentations (進捗発表会) and the Shuntaisai Festival each have a target Performance Level. Reaching the target level with all five Performances results in a Great Success. Depending on the result, your trainee receives bonus stats and training buffs, with a Great Success giving bigger rewards than a regular Success.
| Event | Date | Target Performance Level |
|---|---|---|
| 1st Progress Presentation | Late December, Junior year | 3 |
| 2nd Progress Presentation | Late December, Classic year | 5 |
| Shuntaisai Festival | Late October, Senior year | 6 |
Performance Level Effects
Performance Levels are capped at 6 (or 10 if you have SSR Azuma in your deck). A Performance's level determines the following bonuses for its Performance Practice:
| Level | Friendship Bonus | Skill Pt gain* | Skill Pt gain limit* | Stat gain limit* |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 2% | +20% | – | – |
| 2 | 3% | +25% | – | – |
| 3 | 4% | +30% | – | – |
| 4 | 5% | +40% | +10 | – |
| 5 | 6% | +50% | +20 | – |
| 6 | 7% | +60% | +30 | – |
| 7 | 8% | +80% | +50 | – |
| 8 | 10% | +100% | +100 | – |
| 9 | 12% | +135% | +120 | +20 |
| 10 | 15% | +170% | +120 | +25 |
* Only if your deck has support cards of at least 5 different types (e.g. Speed, Stamina, Power, Wisdom, and Friend). Gain limits allow getting more than 100 of a stat or Skill Points when training.
Performance Practices also provide these benefits:
- All assigned Performers join the practice.
- All five stats get a +10 bonus.
- If your deck has at least 5 different support card types, all supports participating in the Performance Practice (except Friends and Groups) get a hint marker (!). At Performance Lv. 4 or higher, you will get all those hints.
Teachings
During the Career, you assign Teachings (教え) to the Performances, one Teaching per Performance.
A Teaching's bonuses apply to the Performers of its Performance. For example, if you assign the Specialty Teaching to Yabusame, your Speed support cards get higher Specialty Priority. The higher the Performance's level, the stronger its Teaching.
You can reassign the Teachings 6 times during the Career: when they unlock on the 3rd turn, at the end of Late June right before each Shuntaisai Training Camp, and after each Progress Presentation. In between, they're locked.
You start with 5 Teachings (Bonds, Specialty, Hints, Assistance, and Energy). After the first Progress Presentation, you'll get Focus and Diligence, and after the second one, Cooperation, Fortitude, and Balance. These are the effects of all Teachings at level 1 and level 10 (levels above 6 require SSR Azuma):

** Extra Practice (「追加の稽古」) replaces the usual Extra Training event in this scenario, and also gives Performance Gauge progress.
Teaching Transformation
After the Progress Presentation, Transformation (転成) takes place. During this event, you can combine new Teachings with one of the starting ones. You can do two Transformations after the first Presentation, and three after the second.
The starting Teaching is consumed, and its original effects are lost.
The transformed Teaching keeps the new Teaching's effects and gains additional bonuses based on which starter was consumed.

Bonds | +15% main stat gain in Performance Practice One additional Performer support card appears at training during the camp |
Specialty | +50 Specialty Priority 10% Friendship Bonus in Performance Practice |

Energy | -15% Energy consumption in Performance Practice |
Scenario Link and Character-specific Events
Daiwa Scarlet, Mayano Top Gun, Yukino Bijin, No Reason, Blast Onepiece, and the new friend support card Azuma are scenario-linked for the Shuntaisai scenario.
The five scenario-linked Uma Musume change some of the main scenario events, and they will always become the Performer of their respective Performance, even if you don't have their support card in your deck. Using their support cards will increase the effects of some events.
Azuma will start helping you with training as the main story progresses. Using her support card will increase the effects of some events, and she will preferentially appear at Performance Practices with 4 or fewer participants. With her SSR card in your deck, the maximum Performance Level is also increased.
Every outing with Azuma (either with the SSR or R version of her card) will raise the level of your lowest-level Performance by 1.
Character-specific (hidden) events can trigger normally in this scenario, including character-specific bad condition triggers, and any of the events that award the skill.
Character Objectives
In the Shuntaisai scenario, every character follows their own Career objective schedule.
Skill Evolution and Scenario-specific Skills
The Shuntaisai scenario's special evolution skills are the following:
- (evolved from )
- (evolved from )
- (evolved from )
- (evolved from )
- (evolved from )
- (evolved from )
You can pick two of these evolutions at the end of the Career, as long as you've learned their base rare skill during the Career and satisfied the evolution requirements. These evolutions are exclusive to this scenario and can be accessed regardless of what character you are training.
The evolution requirement for , , , and is achieving great success at all of the Progress Presentations and the Shuntaisai Festival.
The other two require great success at the Shuntaisai Festival and learning two distance-specific skills:
- – any two Mile-specific OR Mid-Distance-specific skills
- – any two Short-Distance-specific skills
Aside from the scenario-specific evolutions, all characters can evolve their respective awakening skills through the usual conditions, resulting in 4 possible skill evolutions per Career.
Scenario skills
The scenario's gold skill is , with as its regular variant. The gold skill's effect increases if the total level of your Performances is 30 or higher.

Unique Skill Level-Ups
The mechanic for leveling up your character's unique skill in the Shuntaisai scenario is the same as in the URA Finals scenario, with all checkpoints being in the Senior (i.e. third) year:
- 60.000 fans by Valentine's Day (Early February)
- 70.000 fans by the Fan Appreciation Festival (Early April)
- 120.000 fans by Christmas (Late December)
For characters with high dirt aptitude but low turf aptitude (such as Haru Urara or Smart Falcon), these values are lowered to 40.000, 60.000, and 80.000, respectively.
The April level-up also requires a green Friendship gauge (3 bars) with chairman Akikawa. This is required regardless of whether you are using her as a support card or if she's just a scenario NPC.
Scenario Sparks
The Shuntaisai scenario features a single scenario spark (factor), called "Shuntaisai Scenario" (「駿大祭シナリオ」), giving Stamina and Wisdom when triggered during Inheritance events.
Stat Caps
The Shuntaisai scenario has the following base stat caps:
| Stat | Cap |
|---|---|
| Speed | 2200 |
| Stamina | 1850 |
| Power | 1800 |
| Guts | 1700 |
| Wisdom | 1800 |
