Half Anniversary Balance Patch

During the Half-Anniversary Celebrations, Cygames has announced a Balance Adjustment patch that will release on 2025-11-11. Apart from general mechanics, a lot of skills and training events will also be changed.
On the JP server, these changes were released during the 1st anniversary, meaning that we are getting them almost half a year earlier!
Because the official News article was very brief with the descriptions, these two pages will try explaining all the changes in greater detail.
This article covers mechanics and training events changes. Skill changes are on a separate page.
This patch has unfortunately also introduced quite a few bugs. The reports include:
- Some trainees are bugged and can softlock your Career. It seems to happen especially often with Narita Brian and Mihono Bourbon, less often also with Narita Taishin, Symboli Rudolf, and Vodka.
- The fifth date with R Riko doesn't do anything apart from consuming your turn.
- Resting during the summer camp does not cure any bad conditions.
- It's currently unknown if the missing rebalance of support events (e.g. Groundwork on Falco) is a deliberate choice or a bug.
Bad conditions rebalance
Resting during the summer camp now cures all generic bad conditions.
Well-Rested! (great success while resting), apart from a chance to cure Skin Outbreak, can now also cure Night Owl.
Training with Etsuko (the reporter) now has a chance to cure Slacker.
Selecting the top option in Extra Training now has a chance to cure one random bad condition.
Fan Letter now has a chance to cure Slacker.
Fan Fest (Senior Year, early April) now has a chance to cure Slacker and Slow Metabolism.
Racing changes
The Runaway aptitude skill was added. Runaways can be described as a fifth running strategy, but technically they're a subcategory of Front Runners.
A Front Runner can become a Runaway by learning the Runaway skill (note that this will likely be just called "Runaway", "Great Escape" is the old community translation). They are often available from Secret Events (for example, Silence Suzuka will have one).
The Runaway strategy is even more aggressive than Front Runner, and will try to secure a big lead at the start of the race, at the cost of a bad Stamina utilization.
Spot Struggle was added. This mechanic can occur when two or more Front Runners or Runaways are close to each other, and they will all gain extra target speed at the cost of extra stamina consumption. You can read more in the Race Mechanics Handbook.
Dueling was added. This mechanic can occur when multiple girls are competing with each other on the Final Straight, and they will all get target speed and acceleration based on their Guts. You can read more in the Race Mechanics Handbook.
The hills system was adjusted, and some courses might have more or fewer slopes than before. This will be automatically reflected on the Racetracks pages when the patch is released. For now, you can switch server to Japan if you want to see the changes.
Increasing your Lane Movement Speed will now also increase your target speed. This is, of course, a buff to all Lane Movement Speed skills (or as the patch notes call them, navigation skills).
If you run out of stamina toward the end of the race and recover it with a skill, your last spurt speed will be properly recalculated now. Before this change, recovering stamina during late-race was pretty much useless.
The Guts stat is now (a bit more) useful! It will now affect your speed during the last spurt.

New event branches
The events listed here are getting either a new possible option for you to select, or a new random branch.
Training event buffs
Many training events were supposed to have their outcomes buffed. Some of those were initially bugged, but that's all been fixed by now. I'll add the list here later.
