Basic Information
"Run, Mecha Umamusume! -Invention of Dreams-" (for short: Mechamusume) is the ninth permanent training scenario introduced to the game. It was released on October 29, 2024.
As with other scenarios, it builds on the game's core mechanics, so this article assumes you have a basic understanding of how to play. If you do not, or you'd like a refresher, please read the Beginner's Guide before proceeding.
Scenario Mechanics
For a detailed gameplay explanation of this scenario's mechanics and strategic advice, check out celery's Mechamusume guide.
Scenario Link and Character-specific Events
Biwa Hayahide, Narita Taishin, Air Shakur, Symboli Kris S, and Tanino Gimlet are scenario-linked for the Mechamusume scenario.
Training these characters, or using their support cards, has various gameplay effects.
Each scenario-linked character (whether trained or used as a support) provides two effects:
- Biwa Hayahide increases your Mech's initial energy and makes more Gears appear during training.
- Narita Taishin increases your initial Overdrive gauge fill level and makes more Gears appear during training.
- Air Shakur increases your Mech's initial energy and increases the training bonuses given based on your Research level.
- Symboli Kris S increases your initial Overdrive gauge fill level and increases your initial Research level.
- Tanino Gimlet makes more Gears appear during training and increases your initial Research level.
Character-specific (hidden) events can trigger normally in this scenario, including character-specific bad condition triggers, and any of the events that award the skill.
Character Objectives
In the Mechamusume scenario, every character follows their own race objective schedule. You will face Upgrade Exams for ST-2 (Sati) every 6 months starting from Late December of the Junior year, but these do not obstruct or modify any of the normal objectives.
Skill Evolution and Scenario-specific Skills
The Mechamusume scenario's special evolution skills are the following:
- (evolved from )
- (evolved from )
- (evolved from )
- (evolved from )
- (evolved from )
- (evolved from )
You can pick two of these evolutions at the end of the run, as long as you've learned their base rare skill during the training and satisfied the evolution requirements. These evolutions are exclusive to this scenario and can be accessed regardless of what character you are training.
The evolution requirement for the , , and is achieving an S rank in all Upgrade Exams.
To evolve to the skill, you will have to achieve an S rank in the fifth Upgrade Exam and learn two Medium-distance skills OR two Long-distance skills.
For the skill, you have to achieve an S rank in the fifth Upgrade Exam and learn two Long-distance skills. The skill also requires an S rank in the fifth Upgrade Exam, but two Medium-distance skills instead.
Aside from these scenario-bound evolutions, all characters can evolve their respective awakening skills through the usual conditions, resulting in a total of 4 possible skill evolutions per run. There are no alternative scenario-specific evolution conditions for the normal character evolutions.
As for scenario-specific skills, you can get a level 1 hint for the skill after the final Upgrade Exam (level 3 hint if you achieve an S rank in the exam). The skill is obtained at the end of the training.
Additionally, you'll be presented with the 「4.1 研究レポートの配布」 training event during the URA Finals turns. You'll be given five choices in this event, each corresponding to one of the scenario-linked characters, plus the scenario character Sugar Lights. These choices will award the following skills respectively:

Unique Skill Level-Ups
The mechanic for leveling up your character's unique skill in the Mechamusume scenario is the same as in the URA Finals scenario, with all checkpoints being in the Senior (i.e. third) year:
- 60.000 fans by Valentine's Day (Early February)
- 70.000 fans by the Fan Appreciation Festival (Early April)
- 120.000 fans by Christmas (Late December)
For characters with high dirt aptitude but low turf aptitude (such as Haru Urara or Smart Falcon), these values are lowered to 40.000, 60.000, and 80.000, respectively.
The April level-up also requires a green bond gauge (3 bars) with chairman Akikawa. This is regardless of whether you are using her as a support card or if she's just a scenario NPC.
